Drivers are screened thoroughly to determine if they are compatible with Premier Ambulette Transportation philosophy. Driving records are reviewed for infractions. In addition, a doctor for a physical exam screens candidates. A supervisor trains the candidate before he or she is allowed to operate a vehicle. Not only are the candidates trained in all safety techniques but also to understand the hardship and difficulties that arise for persons that use this service. Drivers are also put on a 90-day no fault probationary period. This process allows us to put the right candidate in the driver seats to handle our most delicate customers.

Premier Vans are New York State DOT and Westchester County certified

Each Ambulette is built to meet the American Disabilities Act requirements. All vans are inspected by New York State Department of Transportation every six months. All vehicles are placed through a rigorous preventative maintenance program all year round by a DOT certified mechanic. The vans are equipped with electronic hydraulic lifts, latest technology in tie down fasteners, fully heated and air conditioned for the utmost safety and convenience for our passengers.
